SM 450/510 R
The SM 450 R and SM 510 R models are genuine replicas of the world Motard championship winning machines ridden by the official Husqvarna team.
The two engines that differ only in strokes of 60.7 and 67.8 mm respectively now have larger sized valves. The intake valves have increased from 33 to 37 mm and exhaust from 28.5 to 31 mm. The intake cams are also new as are the redesigned inlet and exhaust manifolds.
The SM 450/510 models now benefit from a newly designed Gianelli exhaust system that improves performance and meets with Euro 3 standards.
New 50 mm Marzocchi forks, tried and tested in World series races by Adrien Chareyre are now fitted to the machines. There is also a new steering head that accommodates a 205 mm hub and features a "mono-bolt" upper plate
The Sachs shock absorbers have been completely re-calibrated in line with the new front end set-up.
The handlebars are fully adjustable (better suited to Motard) and come complete with plastic hand guards.
The new digital instrument panel and more powerful headlight are particularly important for off-roading.
The rear brake disc now measures 240 mm with 26 mm Brembo callipers governed by a pump with an integrated reservoir whereas the front brakes have been fitted with new mixed-composite pads.
The front brakes are completely new with a 320 mm diameter disc, "racing" pump and adjustable lever. The radial callipers further improve braking efficiency and adjustability.
The 450 and 510 R are fitted with new black Excell wheels and a new rear mudguard that has been modified to both support the lamp cluster and number plate carrier.

SM 610 IE
The SM 610 IE now has an electronic injection system that was developed in collaboration with Mikuni.
The exhaust system on the four-stroke single cylinder engine has a "closed loop" lambda probe. The catalyser has been redesigned and optimised to meet Euro 3 requirements. The catalyser section on the silencer and the area around the passenger footrests have been covered with stainless steel protection.
The engine now features a 42 mm throttle body with the starter command on the handlebars and there is now a 300 Kpa Mitsubishi "twin jet" fuel injector fitted to the throttle. The pressure regulator (3 Bar) regulates any return of excess fuel to the tank and the MAQS (Modularised Air Quantity Sensor) consists of air temperature, mapping and TPS sensors (Throttle Position Sensor).
The Kokusan 360W three-phase ignition flywheel is also new.
The water temperature sensor is positioned on the head. The injection ECU processes signals and governs the operation of the solenoid-operated valve fitted to the right hand side of the radiator.
New components include the rugged polyethylene petrol tank with a 40l/h pump; the non-return fuel circuit has quick-fit connections.
The rear mudguard has a new separate number plate carrier with an independent illumination light.
The saddle has been redesigned and has new padding to improve both rider and passenger comfort.
The chassis can be fitted with a main stand that is available as an optional extra

De laatste keer dat ze wereldkampioen werden was: Eddy Seel, S1, 2003  :!:

En vroeger héél veel titels in het WK motorcross, zelfs in de VS.
