Italië motorland af??

Tja, dit is nu precies wat we niet willen, en wat doen we?
*nog harder,
*nog meer kabaal,
*nog gevaarlijker inhalen,
*allemaal tegelijk,
*nog harder kankeren dat anderen het fout doen,
*nog meer brommers op het trottoir bij het terras zodat er helemaal meer door kan,
*nog meer wijzen, zo van hij deed het,
*moet ik nog ff door gaan?

of gaan we zelf eens optreden,
*RESPEKT hebben voor elkaar en elkaar er op te wijzen dat het anders moet.
*Begin eens zelf over die wegen te fietsen en voel hoe het is.
*Ga eens lekker wandelen met partner en kinderen, en luister eens hoe het klinkt.
*Maak eens een uitstapje met je ouders in de auto door een mooi stukje land, en hoor hun reacties eens aan.

Tis nu de tijd van goede voornemens, TIP voor 2006 en verder

Dear Prime  Minister Berlusconi,          

We are from the  Motor Forum Limburg and we all love motorcycle riding, which is our favourite way of travelling in holiday time. Since ever, Italy has been one of the most wanted Countries in our vacation plans: with its windy roads, breathtaking views, enchanting medieval towns, art and architecture, museums and much more, it is of course a very attractive place that everybody - especially motorcyclists - should visit at least once in the life.

It must also be said that - from a motorcycle rider point of view - a journey in Italy needs a special preparation, with special reference to roads and traffic. Italian roads are among the most dangerous in Europe, because of very poor maintenance, non-observance (by drivers) of basic traffic rules and very high density of vehicles on the roads. Motorways are not a valid alternative, in facts traffic and road conditions often are not very different from other roads, but the tolls are extremely expensive and We can't see any good reason for this.

This notwithstanding, until now the good reasons for spending our holidays in your Country were still stronger than the ones for giving up. But our italian friends from riders' rights organization COORDINAMENTO MOTOCICLISTI informed us on a law, approved in late August, that introduces the confiscation of the motorcycle, followed by the sale by auction in favour of the State, for certain violations of the Highway Code.

When we were first explained this, we could not believe our ears and thought we were equivocating. But when we were told some of the facts that occurred in the first days of implementation of the law, we realized it was all true. From my friends' words, we understood that the main aim of this law is to countering the numerous episodes of street crimes - such as bag-snatching - that affect some areas and cities, i.e. Naples.

This law is unfair, undemocratic and not worthy of a modern and civilized Country, as Italy is supposed to be. If the italian Government believes that laws as such are the best tool to ensure people serenity and security and beat the crime, it means that the State has lost the match and no one - especially visitors - can feel safe in this Country.

Until this law lives, visiting Italy will be too much a risky thing to do, particularly for motorcyclists. Many habits that are considered absolutely normal in any other Country: shaking the hand/pull down a leg to salute an other rider, open/close/clean the helmet visor, switch onto reserve, carrying the usual luggages, in Italy are now a major offence that may very easily transform an innocent and inoffensive, although wrong or illegal, behavior into a nightmare. This law steals one's right of defense by exposing the citizen to police officers' arbitrary acts. The loss of property can never be accepted as sanction for acts like those described here.

For the above reasons,we all cancel Italy from our destinations and warn all our motorcycling friends on the risks of riding a bike there.

Oh ja...topic ging over.......

Das boffe :lol: de afgelopen 2 jaar m'n zomervak-trip in Italië doorgebracht naar volle tevredenheid overigens......

Nu staat het vizier nog steeds noordelijk gericht.....

Daar is 80-100 ook al zo goed als overal standaard de maximumsnelheid  :(  Maar dat heeft ook z'n voordeel.....we zien wat meer...

Dat zijn nog eens voornemens...
