Einde sponsoring hoofdoorzaak: In een zeer kort persbericht laat het Belgische Alstare Suzuki team weten het contract met coureur Massimiliano Biaggi voor 2008 niet te verlengen. Als reden wordt genoemd dat "de huidige situatie mbt sponsoring van Team Alstare" de hoofdreden zou zijn. Hiermee wordt verwezen naar het afhaken van biermerk Corona als hoofdsponsor van het team. Verdere informatie over Biaggi of het team ontbreekt nog.
